MCLEAN, VA—July 14, 2015—Kajeet, the only wireless broadband service provider dedicated solely to providing safe and affordable mobile connectivity for students, announced Michael Fahey as director of indirect channel sales to accelerate the company’s presence and growth in the education marketplace.
“I am excited to provide solutions that level the playing field and close the homework gap for all students,” Fahey said. “Working with our indirect channel partners, we will be helping districts address the growing digital requirements and how connectivity is essential both in and outside the classroom. We want to ensure students are college and career ready!”
With more than 20 years of experience in the education and training fields, Fahey will leverage his experience to work with partner companies to introduce schools to Kajeet Education Broadband™, enabling as many students as possible to have affordable, filtered, off-campus Internet connectivity.
“We are incredibly excited to add a sales executive of Michael Fahey’s caliber to the Kajeet team. Our continued growth requires achieving great success with our exceptional channel partner. Michael possesses the experience and capabilities needed to achieve that success,” said Kajeet CEO and Founder Daniel Neal.
Before joining Kajeet, Fahey served as a client partner at Origin Learning, the first U.S. employee hired to build the U.S. presence through direct sales, partners, and channels. Prior to his tenure at Origin Learning, Fahey was vice president of business development with Management Concepts.
Currently partnering with more than 80 districts in 25 states, Kajeet is keeping thousands of students connected on multiple 4G LTE wireless broadband networks to online textbooks, apps, emails, documents and websites, as well as to their teachers, to ensure that students have a level playing field for academic success and improved test scores. With Kajeet Education Broadband, students receive the Kajeet SmartSpot®, a MiFi brand mobile hotspot by Novatel Wireless, combined with the innovative Sentinel cloud portal, providing customizable CIPA-compliant filtered Internet access to keep students focused on school work and provide educational connectivity.
When we started Kajeet in 2003, we wanted kids to be agile with technology, to be empowered and safe, and we wanted to help them respond with confidence to what's happening in their world. Not incidentally, we want parents, educators and guardians to be involved too. Being part of the mobile world is not just fun, it’s a shared responsibility.
